Political party's major target is to win elections and pay more attention to many issues. Interest groups do not participate in the elections. Political parties focus on several different issues whereas interest groups focus on one or two specific issues. Members of the political parties do not have similar ideologies but members of the interest group share the same ideas and are focused on the group's ideologies. They raise funds and carry-on lobbying activities to promote their point of view. The size of the political party does not play any role in winning the election however interest groups’ size matters the most when they lobby and promote their views.
